A Calm & Refined Squarespace Website for Acupuncturist - Kerstin Lehr
The Client
Kirsten is a Five Element acupuncturist who had outgrown her existing Squarespace 7.0 website. She needed a new online home for her practice that better reflected her experience, expertise and the quality of her work.
The Mission
To elevate Kirsten’s website so that it felt more refined and high-end, while still remaining warm and approachable. The site also needed to present her services clearly and make it simple for clients to understand how she could help, and to book an appointment.
The Result
A calm, elegant Squarespace website that feels much more aligned with Kirsten’s practice now - polished and professional, but still welcoming, providing a stronger foundation for the business going forward.

Yes. Squarespace works particularly well for therapy and wellness businesses because it gives you plenty of flexibility without making the website difficult to manage.
It’s ideal for showcasing your services, sharing your expertise, publishing useful content and making it easy for potential clients to get in touch or book.
It integrates with booking platforms with Acuity Scheduling being in-built within Squarespace. There is also a course/membership area. Additional features within Squarespace may require a higher plan or additional fees. -
Your website should of course make it clear who you help, what you offer and how someone can work with you.
Depending on your business, you might also want individual service pages explaining what you offer, the benefits of working with you, testimonials, an about page detailing your qualifications and experience, FAQs and useful content that demonstrates your expertise.
I also recommend adding any relevant professional body logos detailing your associations and accreditiations. -
Yes. SEO is considered from the beginning. Made by Friday™, my website in a week service, includes homepage keyword research, SEO strategy and optimisation as part of the build.
For my one-page websites, I take care of the essential SEO settings and make sure the page has a clear, search-friendly structure.

Yes. If you have an existing website that you’re keen to keep, you can book me via my Squarespace VIP Day offering. However, an entire site cannot be refreshed in a day so two or more may be necessary.
That said, many clients come to me with an older or DIY website and, in a lot of cases, starting again gives us a much more polished result. It can actually be quicker and more cost-effective than trying to work around an existing design.Once I’ve seen your site, I can advise you on the best approach.

Yes. One of the reasons I love Squarespace is that it’s genuinely easy to manage once your website is live.
You’ll be able to update your services, change text and images, add blog posts and make everyday edits yourself without needing to come back to a designer for every small change.

One of the big advantages of Squarespace is that it’s a fully hosted platform, so security, software updates and SSL are taken care of for you. You don’t need to install security plugins or constantly update software to keep the site protected, as you often do with WordPress. It means there’s far less technical maintenance to worry about day to day.
