It comes down to experience, organisation, and systems. I've been designing websites for six years and have built up my own library of sections and designs that I can mix, match, and roll out efficiently — which is exactly what makes a polished site achievable in five days.

Being organised and ready seven days beforehand is crucial: I carry out your SEO keyword research in the days before we start, and we have a kick-off strategy call the week before to settle your brand direction. Because I'm working from my own proven designs rather than starting from a blank page, it's important that you're choosing me as your designer because you genuinely love the websites I've done in the past.

Because this is when I do my best work — focused sprints over a short period mean you get the best of me, not a project stretched thin over months. That's also why I rarely take on custom, complex websites: if you want something big and intricate, I'm not the designer for you.

I believe small businesses don't need something overly complicated — they need a modern, elegant website that clients will genuinely love and that's easy to manage. If you do need more than six pages, I'd recommend building your most important pages first, then booking a VIP Day/s for the rest — these can usually be slotted in within three weeks. I no longer offer custom-quoted websites.

Not a full bespoke branding process — instead, I use a Mini-Brand approach, where you choose from a selection of elegantly curated palettes and typography pairings. This keeps things beautifully cohesive without the time (or cost) of a full branding project, which wouldn't be possible within a one-week build anyway.

That's absolutely fine — five pages is the standard scope, not a requirement. If your site needs fewer, we simply focus more time and detail into the pages you do need.

You can add up to one additional page for an additional cost of £350 during your Made by Friday™ week, taking you to six pages maximum. Websites of seven or more pages aren't achievable within a one-week build so will need a VIP day or half VIP Day booked (half days available only to existing website clients).
