Squarespace website for an award-winning Yorkshire-based artist.
Jess is an award-winning multidisciplinary visual artist working in mixed media painting, with colourful, expressive work that has real presence on its own. We didn't want a busy website competing with that, so we kept things spacious with plenty of white space, and picked out a soft, greeny-grey palette with a hint of mustard in the fonts, pulling directly from the colours she uses so often in her paintings.
To showcase the volume of her work, we created a full portfolio with its own dedicated page for each painting, detailing the piece alongside the image.
I really enjoyed working on this website having her beautiful paintings up on my screen was such a treat.
